Alexis is broadly interested in urban sustainability and environmental governance. She is currently researching urban institutional change in the United States, and investigating why some cities, and not others, accomplish the difficult work of translating their sustainability objectives into enduring reforms. Her dissertation focuses on the development of green stormwater infrastructure in several U.S. cities. She holds an M.C.P. from DUSP and a B.S.E. in environmental engineering from Princeton University. She previously worked in urban environmental education in Philadelphia.
