Marian is excited to join MIT after several years doing energy and environmental research at the Breakthrough Institute, a think tank in Oakland, California. A Massachusetts native, she studied International Relations and German at Tufts University and spent some time living in Germany. Her research interest is how to resolve the land use and siting issues that accompany a transition to clean energy. Outside of work, she likes reading fiction, going on motorcycle rides, and dancing.
