Susan Podziba is Director of the Sacred Lands Project. She has mediated complex public disputes for more than 25 years, and is author of Civic Fusion: Mediating Polarized Public Disputes. Her clients have included the U.S. Departments of Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Labor, and Transportation, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, United States Senate, United Nations, and U.S. Institute for Peace. Ms. Podziba is listed on the United Nations Mediation Roster, and under the auspices of the UN Department of Political Affairs, she designed an inclusive mediation seminar for special envoys and high level mediation team members. She served a Fulbright Senior Specialist in Peace and Conflict Resolution at the Amsterdam Centre for Conflict Studies at the University of Amsterdam and has worked with the United States Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and the Office of Native American Programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and Development as well as the Truman Institute for the Advancement of Peace at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
