Freya Tan is a dual-degree graduate student in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS) and City Planning at MIT. With a background in urban systems and a focus on computational methods, she brings interdisciplinary expertise at the intersection of technology and the built environment, integrating machine learning, optimization, and computer vision to support infrastructure resilience and data-driven decision-making, with a growing interest in applying these tools to critical infrastructure, data privacy, and secure system design in complex, real-world environments.
